Healthy Starts: Postpartum OUD Care Transitions for Mother and Infant (1 credit hour)

Program Summary:  This course examines best practices for perinatal opioid use disorder care and explores clinical treatment, engagement, and services.  The course highlights recommendations for screening and treatment and discusses the importance of MOUDs and a patient-centered approach.  Recommended practices for Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome are included. The course includes information on diagnosis and treatment.

This course is recommended for social workers, counselors, and therapists and is appropriate for beginning and intermediate levels of practice.

G.M.
