Program Summary: This course looks at telehealth as an opportunity to expand behavioral health care for rural communities and to provide greater access to services, providers, and specialties. The course explores the benefits of telehealth that include improved access to qualified professionals, confidentiality, privacy, and accessibility. Challenges to implementing telehealth care are also discussed, including issues of internet access, insurance coverage, and varying state regulations.
