The Free State Social Work Book Club

Free State Social Work is proud to introduce our new Book Club.  These courses are built around timely and relevant books for people who would like to study specific topics in more depth.

In order to complete these courses, you will need to get the book either from Amazon.Com or by looking for it at your local bookstore or library.

Our First Book Club Book focuses on the book The Essential Guide to Bullying: Prevention And Intervention by Cindy Miller and Cynthia Lowen. This is a very interesting read for anyone who works with children or families who are dealing with bullying.

We have divided the book club into four separate courses.

Bullying Prevention and Intervention/ Part 1: 21st Century Bullying (2 credit hours)
Bullying Prevention and Intervention/ Part 2: Prevention (2 credit hours)
Bullying Prevention and Intervention/ Part 3: Intervention (3 credit hours)
Bullying Prevention and Intervention/ Part 4: Rethinking Bullying and Prevention (2 credit hours)

You can take all four courses or just the courses from the sections that are most relevant for your areas of practice.

We hope you enjoy our new longer form courses. If you have any questions or comments about the new course format, please feel free to contact us at info@freestatesocialwork.com.
