Why Is Our Company Called Free State Social Work?
Free State Social Work is a Kansas based company and the name along with the wheat logo that appears on our website and certificates reflects our Kansas heritage. The original settlers of Kansas Territory in the 1850’s were known as ‘Free Staters’ because of their opposition to the expansion of slavery into Kansas and Kansas was known as ‘The Free State.’
